Mountain landscape - Europe

Lobhörner, Switzerland

Lobhörner is located above Lauterbrunnen in the Swiss Alps. It may look like a single rocky tooth from this perspective (I captured it from the Swiss mountain village of Wengen) but the mountain is actually five individual limestone towers, a traverse of which is popular with climbers. Being somewhat low in altitude for Switzerland - the highest peak is Gross Lobhorn at 2,566m - the towers come into season earlier than other mountains in the Bernese Oberland such as the Eiger, Jungfrau or the Mönch.
