Aiguille du Peigne

A jagged ridge visible through the clouds on the lower flanks of Aiguille du Peigne, a popular rock climbing peak above Chamonix in France. (The summit of the peak can be seen in this image of Aiguille du Plan).

My recollection is of capturing this photograph after a trek on the Gran Balcon Nord, en route to a cold drink and apple pie / ice cream at the hut near Plan de l'Aiguille. We followed this up with a 4,000ft descent into the valley and an ice-cold beer. Which I’d suggest is exactly how trekking and photography should be approached.
